but i cant figure out if its a kit that's been pieced together and rewrapped or not. the serial numbers given ranged from 19xxx to 164xxx. any thoughts would be appreciated. http://cgi.ebay.com/Slingerland-Gene...ht_1992wt_1137. They open up the drum sound and is more "Vintage" to my ears. And the Aquarian Head on the 20" Slingy bass has a Remo Muffle Ring that seems to do nothing but give it a dead thud. I found an old 80's sligerland in my band room. The only problem is that there is no hardware. I am considering just retro fitting the drums with new hardware, but i would like to know how can just mount the toms. It didn't need a lot of work and cleaned up nicely. The bearing edges have been recut. Someone messed with the grommet,which I will replace as soon as I get more. But it sounds great. I always liked Stick Saver Hoops. Are these decent sets>? saw one on e bay that looked nice, went to their web site they have been around a long time, are they pro level?
